Good Riddance 2020

What is there to say about 2020? I think enough has been said about it so let’s just move on and look forward to 2021.

Firstly, we’ll be finishing 2020 on a trip up to Gunnison, CO. We’ll be leaving Thursday, the 31st, after a half day of work to arrive in Gunnison around 8:00 or 8:30. We will be celebrating the new year at the Alpine Inn and Suites of Gunnison. There’s snow on the ground out there as we speak so we should have a nice little three day stay-in vacation in the Western Slopes. Especially when we’re looking at this:

By way of comparison, the LOW temperatures in Albuquerque this weekend will be higher than the highs in Gunnison.

We have a couple of for sure trips planned in the first half of 2021, including a trip back to Colorado for Brandy’s birthday to see her friends, and a trip back in May during which we will be getting married.

Aside from that, I have other plans for a couple short, long weekend trips throughout the year, including, but not limited to:

That’s just a start. I’m hoping more will come up through the year, but we’ll see.

Overall, 2020 was kind of a mess between COVID, Twisted Tea, and everything in between. But out of all the insanity, I still was able to forge a loving relationship with Brandy, do a bunch more travelling than I thought would be possible, and found much more of myself than I thought was possible.

I plan on doing a kind of 2020 year in review/recap post in the next day or two, so keep an eye out for that.

Until then!

Phil

    1. Indeed I did, however I didn’t need it. Even as cold as it was, I was perfectly comfortable in my fleece-lined hoodie. Watch for my trip report coming in the next day or two.
