As I’d mentioned in posts past, I moved out of Brandy’s house on May 7th. I took the following week off from work through the 14th, only to immediately leave for the camping trip from my previous post. After being gone for the 3 day weekend, I immediately launched back in to work and haveContinue reading “Final Wanderful Post”

Moving
As I mentioned in a few of my previous posts, I’ve moved out of Brandy’s house and into an apartment near UNM. I’ve spent the last four days or so just getting stuff moved in and have finally gotten my kitchen mostly settled and my bedroom almost completely finished (I just have to change theContinue reading “Moving”
Forced Break
I definitely apologize for my absence lately folks. I’ve been busy packing up and preparing for the move that’s taking place starting tomorrow, Friday, May 7. I expect the actual move from Brandy’s house to pretty much last that day. That won’t mean I’m done though. I still have some things in my storage unitContinue reading “Forced Break”
The Spaceship House, The Bug House, Or The Bart Prince Residence
No matter what you call it, this house sure stands out in Albuquerque.
No Hike Sunday
Unfortunately, Brandy and I didn’t make it too far on the trail before we discovered it was a bit steep for both our tastes. Instead, we spent some time driving up to the Sandia Peak, then back down again. On I-40, a rock smashed into the windshield of her Lexus causing a significant chip. We both have a couple of personal issues to work out and we’ve decided it would be best if we live apart while we work on those things. NotContinue reading “What’s Next?”
Carlsbad Caverns
March 12-14 There are 63 national parks in the United States and its territories and it took meeting Brandy to visit my first one (which was Mesa Verde National Park in southwestern Colorado last year.) This weekend, we visited my second, Carlsbad Caverns in Southeastern New Mexico.
Website Changes
I noticed I had a handful of views the other day. I’m guessing it was my son after I had directed him here for some reason… I don’t remember why. I know Veronica and Alan visit the site regularly, Alan even signed up for e-mail notifications when I update the site. Vern, did you too?
Oops!
I stopped by Outdoor Rec on Kirtland AFB to rent a fishing rod and reel Friday afternoon. I met Alan at the hospital where I work and we left from there. We headed north to Bernalillo and took a left before climbing highway 4 to Fenton Lake… to find it completely frozen over. D’OH!
