As I’d mentioned in posts past, I moved out of Brandy’s house on May 7th. I took the following week off from work through the 14th, only to immediately leave for the camping trip from my previous post. After being gone for the 3 day weekend, I immediately launched back in to work and haveContinue reading “Final Wanderful Post”

Camping: Redondo Campground, Santa Fe National Forest
May 21 – 23, 2021 Well, it’s official. Alan and I took our first camping trip over the weekend of . This was my first time ever tent camping and the first camping I’ve done at all in decades. It was a life changing experience.
Forced Break
I definitely apologize for my absence lately folks. I’ve been busy packing up and preparing for the move that’s taking place starting tomorrow, Friday, May 7. I expect the actual move from Brandy’s house to pretty much last that day. That won’t mean I’m done though. I still have some things in my storage unitContinue reading “Forced Break”
The Future of Wanderful
Greetings everyone, I hope this early Saturday morning finds you well! I’m sitting here with a fresh cup of coffee waiting for the sun to come up just a little bit more so I can leave for a short hike up to Travertine Falls. I apologize for my recent absence for the last few days.Continue reading “The Future of Wanderful”
Camping Trip: Coming Soon!
It has been decades since I’ve last been camping, and truth be told, I don’t know that I’ve ever been tent camping. The only camping trips I ever remember taking have been in a camper or trailer, and I was a little dude so I didn’t even really have to make the plans. I justContinue reading “Camping Trip: Coming Soon!”
Planned Trip: Tinkertown, Burger Boy and (Maybe) a Hike to Sandia Peak
This morning on my way to my hike around the Sulphur and Cienega Hose Bypass Loop Trail, I noticed that Tinkertown is open. I decided right then and there that I was returning the next day.
Prepping for Utah
The Four Corners National Monument is a scant four hour drive from Albuquerque. Since meeting Brandy, we’ve made a trip to the area, to Cortez, Colorado, but never visited the monument, nor the other two states involved in the intersection, Utah or Arizona. That changes this year.
Planned Trip: Sandia Tram, Ten3 Restaurant and a Hike on the 4 Seasons Nature Trail
Well, next weekend, April 24, I do indeed have plans with Alan to take the Sandia Tram up to the Ten3 restaurant and hike the 4 Seasons Nature Trail (weather permitting… the tram has been closed the last couple days due to high winds.) AllTrails has this listed as an easy half mile loop trailContinue reading “Planned Trip: Sandia Tram, Ten3 Restaurant and a Hike on the 4 Seasons Nature Trail”
Planned Hike: Loop Trail via Access Road
I have a few more weeks before I move (three and a half or so) and because I don’t have a whole lot of stuff, packing is hardly going to take any time at all. Because of that, I don’t think I’ll even start until like the weekend of the 24-25 of April, leaving thisContinue reading “Planned Hike: Loop Trail via Access Road”
My New Addiction
I’ve just come to the realization that I’m sick.
