Saturday Day Trip to Santa Fe

Well, we didn’t make it out to hike last Sunday. We got to the trailhead and it was just a little too crowded for Brandy’s taste. We decided to try the trail we had gone to the day before, but it was very crowded there too. We headed back down the mountain and wound up going to lunch instead.

Brandy is spending this weekend in Iowa visiting her mom and friends so I’ve decided to head up to Santa Fe to make another stop on the Green Chile Cheeseburger Trail. I’m going to be picking Jarrod up in Rio Rancho after he gets off work at noon, then we’ll head up I-25 on our way to Atrisco Cafe & Bar in The City Different. After lunch, I think we’ll take a drive up the Santa Fe Scenic Byway, a 30 mile out and back drive into the Santa Fe National Forest. Depending on the time we have left, we may head back into the plaza for a souvenir run.

I’ll make a post reporting on the food and trip tomorrow. Stay tuned!
